Project management

Project management

Axians Slovakia has extensive experience in managing complex implementation projects, using several methodologies – SAP Activate, ASAP, PRINCE2®, PROMET®. Regardless of the chosen methodology, the use of standardized, effective project management techniques significantly increases the likelihood of successful project implementation in terms of scope, time and budget.

SAP Activate

SAP Activate is an agile methodology for implementing or upgrading SAP solutions.

SAP Activate’s experience-based methodology provides pre-built implementation content, accelerators, tools and best practices to help consultants achieve consistent and successful results across all industries and customer environments.

The SAP Activate methodology can be used for standalone projects or as a component within SAP Premium Engagement Services.

The SAP Activate methodology for on-premise implementations is designed to support project teams in new implementations of SAP solutions in on-premise and managed private cloud environments.

The SAP Activate methodology uses approaches that significantly accelerate project delivery, improve business engagement, and reduce implementation and ownership costs:

  • reuses knowledge sources and pre-built content, leverages best practices
  • is built on an Agile approach
  • includes formal risk and quality management
  • enables Premium Engagement for service customers

SAP ASAP (Accelerated SAP)

The goal of the ASAP methodology is to optimize the time, quality and efficient use of functionality and resources of the implementation project. It focuses on the coordination of all the elements that contribute to a successful implementation. ASAP provides a clear and concise project plan and defines the individual implementation activities in detail.

Benefits of the ASAP methodology:

  • minimizes the length of time between installation and productive operation
  • maximises SAP and customer capacity utilisation
  • incorporates a process-oriented approach to implementation and training
  • includes and supports early user acceptance
  • the model (conclusions, results …) from the implementation can be used in subsequent SAP implementations or upgrades

PRINCE2®

The PRINCE2 methodology is a generic methodology that can be applied to any project, regardless of scale, type, organisation, location and culture. The methodology encompasses a set of principles, themes and processes. PRINCE2 is flexible across projects. It managerially controls deviations from the plan. Structurally organizes the project from start to finish. It standardizes terminology, simplifies communication on the project. Engages management, but also other roles on the project where needed.

PROMET®

The PROMET methodology uses a modular structure. The individual modules are structured in a clear and consistent manner. All activities follow predefined phases, with results recorded in pre-structured result documents (templates). These support and facilitate efficient and effective project work, enabling the rapid development and implementation of new business solutions.

The PROMET approach distinguishes between:

PROMET methodology: predefined phases, deliverable documents, etc. for different types of projects, such as process-oriented business reorganization or the introduction of SAP or other standard software solutions

PROMET@work: process management tool for the analysis and documentation of business processes, based on Microsoft Visio®

PROMET solutions: solutions for process management in various portal environments, such as SAP® and Microsoft®
