What are the options for migrating to SAP S/4 HANA?

New implementation / Reimplementation

A new implementation/reimplementation is the ideal way to implement the new processes and innovations that SAP S/4HANA brings with it. The implementation of the new system can be done “greenfield”, using the processes of the so-called “SAP model companies”, or using the original system as a template for the creation of the basic settings.

The start-up of the solution takes place in the form of a “big bang” and is associated with the migration of initial states and open items. Based on our experience, we can state that this is a migration method that makes it possible to achieve optimization of business processes using the latest technologies, coupled with optimization of hardware requirements for system operation.

System conversion

For companies for which a new SAP S/4HANA implementation is too risky or time-consuming, organizationally and cost-wise, migration to SAP S/4HANA is a suitable alternative. The migration itself is carried out in two steps. In the first step, the database is migrated to the new SAP HANA database and in the second step, the existing R/3 system is converted to the SAP S/4HANA product.

Both steps can be separated in terms of time, spreading the project activities over a longer period of time and thus eliminating any risks resulting from the change. As one of the first companies in Slovakia, we have successfully implemented several conversions of ERP systems to SAP S/4HANA and we continue to help our customers plan and implement the migration path to SAP S/4HANA.
